Ran /tools/domain-overview on an established domain (been around years, plenty of backlinks) and the authority score came back as 0, with backlinks looking sparse too. Every other metric on the report looks plausible. This is clearly wrong for this domain. Is this a data provider hiccup, or did I do something wrong entering the domain? Happy to share the domain privately if that helps debug.
Domain Overview authority score shows 0 for a domain that clearly has authority

Had this exact thing. For me it was that I entered the domain with a subdomain/format the provider treats as a different entity. Try the root domain, no 'www', no https, no trailing slash — just example.com. Fixed it instantly for me.
@linkjuice_larry is on the right track and that's the most common cause. A 0 authority with sparse backlinks on a domain you is established almost always means the query resolved to the wrong entity — usually a vs non- or vs mismatch, or a domain the backlink dataset indexes under its apex. Enter the bare root domain () and re-run.
